Employee Benefits Service Specialist
Our firm is rapidly growing and we are seeking a self-motivated person who wants to join a dynamic, growing company. We are currently seeking to fulfill a full-time position. Our Employee Benefits Service Specialist will be responsible for supporting numerous areas within the Employee Benefits department and providing exceptional customer service to our current clients.
 
Insurance industry or agency experience and knowledge is not required but would be a greater benefit relating to clients in the beginning for this position.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Data entry of client’s employees into insurance carrier’s enrollment systems.
  • Helping populate benefits and premium information into customizable administration portals.
  • Creating small group medical insurance comparison proposals using simple software system.
  • Preparing employee benefits enrollment materials for clients.
  • Assisting with service for claims, benefits, billing and enrollment for our clients.
  • Back up main switchboard for an initial period of time
  • Gaining knowledge of the industry and growing into an even more valuable role within the agency.
  • Processing incoming electronic mail/emails – attaching appurtenant information to client in EPIC.
  • Promptly answering and returning phone calls.
  • Seeking ways to improve overall efficiencies and processes within the department.
Desired Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma required; college education or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi‐task and handle heavy workload with minimal supervision; able to self-check for accuracy; and independently research and analyze.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines and working with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others (clients, colleagues, carrier partners) to explain complex issues, interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.
  • Working knowledge of Excel to create, navigate and manipulate reports, Word, PowerPoint and E‐mail applications.
  • Ability to independently initiate new and creative concepts.
